Terranova is a small Barcelona-based publishing house run by Lucía Boned and supervised by Luis Cerveró, who is also its owner and founder.
Terranova was established for the purpose of giving voice to a whole generation of artists who emerged and were trained on the margins of the mainstream cultural currents, with their backs turned on all forms of institutional or private support. The authors in our catalogue are photographers, writers, musicians and visual artists of an incorruptible individuality, frequently far removed from passing fads and contemporary trends.
At the same time, Terranova makes an active and belligerent day-to-day demand for analogue and physical formats, such as paper, vinyl or celluloid, in confrontation with the digital revolution which prevails in our times.
In addition to its publishing work, Terranova also keeps an extensive archive of rare books, artist’s books, photography books, comics and fanzines, in an ongoing effort to preserve and disseminate Spain’s marginal publishing heritage subsequent to the emergence of modern edition in the second half of the past century. Its collection, available for research and exhibitions, spans over seven decades, from the 1950s to the present day.
